Nupe Vessel

This special vessel was carved from indigenous wood by the Nupe people from Nigeria, who have lived along the banks of the Niger River since the 15^th Century. They are well known for their designs and intricate carving details of geometric shapes. 

This vessel was originally used to collect and store food and is the perfect vintage vessel to style as a sculptural decorative piece or a statement catchall for anywhere in the home.
