Tonga Stool | Zimbabwe
These striking stools are hand carved from a single piece of hardwood by the Tonga people who are an ethic Bantu group from Southern Zambia and the neighbouring Northern Zimbabwe.
These stools have been designed with portability in mind as guests would take their own seating to weddings, funerals and ceremonies in neighbouring villages. It has distinct central triangular patterns and bears the authentic wear of regular use which is seen in their warm patina and shine.
