DESCRIPTION
This large wooden bowl is a common household item in Ethiopia and has been hand carved from a durable hardwood to ensure long usage. These bowls were traditionally used for a variety of functions from preparing food to serving food and storage.
The bowl has a beautiful symmetry and details. There is a small handle on one side, which served the function of hanging the bowls up when not in use. The wood has a beautiful patina from years of handling and subtle metal repair work.
