Our Herd bucket hat embroidery is taken from a hand-drawing of a memory of elephants. Elephants share some of the strongest family bonds in the animal world, living in highly bonded and cohesive groups, led by a matriarch.
Often they walk in lines, with calves protected in the middle and adults guiding the way. This simple form shows a complex family dynamic embedded in trust, care and responsibility. A reminder of how important their bonds are for their well-being and that all elephants deserve a future, as a family, in the wild.
Watch how your support helps. The Hardwoods, a prominent family of 43 based in Kenya's Samburu National Reserve that are monitored by Save the Elephants and known for there close social bonds and interactions with the researchers.
