Our R.W. cap stands for Roots and Wings coming from the African proverb - "we desire to pass on two things to our children; the first is roots and the second is wings".

The keepers give the roots, the rehabilitation program fosters the wings, providing confidence and structure for orphans to live wild again.

The embroidery is a baby elephant with its blankie. These blankets provide psychological comfort to reduce anxiety, acting as a mother's shadow as well as to provide warmth and protection against pneumonia.

Watch how your support helps. Keeper Naomi on a walk with Ngaramara. She was orphaned at the age of one month, after being separated from her herd and sought refuge with the Turkana community before located by Save the Elephants and rescued by Reteti.
