Lozi Container
DESCRIPTION
This container was made by the Lozi people of Zambia. These containers with lids are hand-carved from indigenous wood and come with beautiful and distinct details. Each container was traditionally used as a lunch box to store and transport food. The lid handles are modelled into highly stylised figures, inspired by animals and forms found in the surrounding nature.
We love the unique shapes carved into this container and the distinctive patina of the wood that has occurred over use and time. Style as a sculptural decorative piece or a soulful storage choice for anywhere in the home.
