This vintage bangle come from the Benin people of West Africa. They are renowned for their use of the lost wax method for casting bronze. This bangle has beautiful patterning with geometric designs and oxidisation has created the blue and green hues.
Due to the size and impracticability of this bangle it would have been used form of currency and status part of a bridal dowry. Style as a sculptural decorative piece anywhere in the home.
