Lozi Drum | Zambia
Drums have a rich history in African culture and are still used to communicate and send messages over long distances as well as announcing important ceremonies. The language of the drum is remarkable with drum beats communicating phrases if known to the listener. These long drums from the Lozi people, also known as Mwamwa or Mufula, are used to announce and send messages to the Lozi people, however, it is never used to send messages of death.
