Gurage Enjera Tray | No.2 | Ethiopia
This vintage tray has been hand-carved from a single piece of wood from the Sholla' tree by the Kaffa people of Ethiopia. The tray would have been given as a gift from a husband to his wife and used to serve a traditional pancake called an Enjera which is a staple food in Ethiopia.
This tray has developed a rich patina from years of use and has beautiful and intricate geometrical carving details. Style as a decorative piece or as a soulful storage option for anywhere in the home.
