Buhera Basket | White | Zimbabwe
The baskets are a beautiful reflection of Africa’s ancient weaving tradition, made by the Buhera women of Zimbabwe. These baskets were traditionally used for storing mealie meal and beer, to make them waterproof, cow dung would be smeared on the outside of the baskets.
These particular baskets have been finished with a white-wash to add a lighter tone. All baskets have a differing natural organic shape and style.
