Buhera Basket | White | Zimbabwe
The baskets are a beautiful reflection of ancient weaving tradition, made by the Buhera women of Zimbabwe. These baskets were traditionally used for storing mealie meal and beer, to make them waterproof, cow dung would be smeared on the outside of the baskets.
Woven by hand, the Buhera basket is a beautiful and functional accent for any space. Style with dried foliage and florals or simply by itself. Due to being hand-woven into organic shapes, no two baskets will be the same.
