Coconut Shell Necklace

Our coconut shell necklace is hand-carved in Indonesia from coconut shells and finished with brass. These necklaces represent a Kalabubu necklace, which is worn by the warriors of the people of Nias. The wearing of the necklace symbolised triumph in warfare and was believed to protect the wearer from harm. 

Each necklace will vary slightly due to being made by hand. Stand is included. Please note stands may have minor imperfections.
