Buhera Basket Sculptural | Striped | Zimbabwe
The baskets are a beautiful reflection of Africa’s ancient weaving tradition, made by the Buhera women of Zimbabwe. These baskets were traditionally used for storing mealie meal and beer, to make them waterproof, cow dung would be smeared on the outside of the baskets.
This particular basket has been finished with white-washed stripes to add a more striking design. Sold with stand.
